You forgot the most important point you can't abduct someone from a foreign country and prosecute them for U. S. laws. You can prosecute a foreign leader for breach of international laws but Trump clearly doesn't care about international law so this whole thing is something they're just making up as they're going along. They had no plan for who should run venezuela now. The country could easily sink into a civil war because of the abduction of the president. He's just power tripping and doing whatever comes to mind in the moment.

A conspiracy to of possession of machine guns, destructive devices as well as conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the US while he was in Venezuela as president of that country and looking to defend it from America are insane charges. Basically any country who buys weapons from Russia or china and would shoot at us military aircraft, ships and personnel who invades their territory would have their leader up on charges in the US.

You know the whole legal strategy could be just to take maduro out of Venezuela for 5 years and hold him until democracy is restored and in a few years he goes back to Venezuela to face justice and execution.

uh, others have cleared up a lot of this mess for you, but I thought I'd chime in and say this since you're pretending to not be aware... but the US arrests people who are planning terrorist activities with their guns quite frequently. If you make terroristic threats, and are deemed to have the capability to carry those threats out, you get authorities knocking if they find out about it. Minus the conspiracy theories about this.
