How come in the United States a woman can murder her baby on the government's terms, but not her own terms?

If a woman gets an abortion and murders her fetus it's fine, but when she kills her newborn, she gets jailed. Like literally, a fetus is just as much a living, breathing child as is a newborn.

On the flip side, one can argue, it's just a baby, so the woman should go to jail, but not for life. Less, much less.

Why are the pro-choice people okay with killing fetuses, but not newborns, when it's literally the same thing.

gets weird if the woman dies in a car accident, it's a double homicide for the offending driver. But if she kills it in the womb, it's not a person. say what?

If some crazy person punches her in the stomach and she aborts, it's murder... and it should be. But if the dr shoots the life with a drillbit to the brain, it's therapy.

you cannot make sense out of humans, don't try. it's an emotional problem, a spiritual one, and sometimes physical. It is definitely, personal.

To be fair, it's a huge responsibility to have a child and people should take it seriously. Thus they should take seriously the activities that would make one.

The whole example you made about double homocide, I always thought it was so stupid and should only be a single homocide. Stomach punching is a bit of a grey area. In the case of killing babies, I think the person should go to jail, but not for life. Less, much less. It's just a baby.

When we lean towards the rights of the individual, it's really awful... ending the life of someone weak and innocent.
Trying to make logical sense of our laws is not possible... it's a dichotamy.
You aren't allowed to commit suicide, but you are forced to stay alive in misery. You are forced to be born, but noone may want to raise you. etc etc..

Returning to a mindset of responsibility and right and wrong is the best bet. Be responsible, do the right thing by all the lives.

The real deaths should be minimized... if everyone was trained in same moral foundations.

You found the crux of the debate. Pro choice logic tries to separate the two but can't. Which ultimately means they are trying to justify murder so as to not have to face consequences should they find themselves in the same situation. Bottom line is Pro Choice people are selfish, ego centrists that would literally kill their own child to save themselves. Literal Savages.
