I mean, I get whats going on over there isn’t as bad or important as people here getting shot or arrested for driving into ICE agents. But if you could maybe think for a second about these people who have lived in hell for over 10 years.

The Iranian mullah regime is about as rotten and corrupt as it can be. But let’s not forget history, where the United States propped up and armed the torture regime of the Shah for decades. Who knows what comes next, but I doubt it will be Western-style democracy. Best to stay out of it.

I am in favor of free people being in control of their own governance. As much as i would prefer that always comes to fruition without force and violence, that doesn’t seem to be a reasonable expectation of mankind.
The problem is that Iran is sketchier than Venezuela. While Iran doesn’t CONCEDE that they have nuclear weapons, NATO and the US have had to intervene in their development of them multiple times. Most reasonable people will admit that there’s a fairly good chance that they have a secret development program for nuclear weapons.
Attacking Iran militarily will almost certainly spark a much larger conflict; maybe even the next world war. It’s best to handle the matter diplomatically, but that almost certainly means the current regime retains power. Which is no bueno for the citizens of Iran. Very sensitive situation.

Trump is watching. I will allow that that Maduro was partly a pretense to secure and even procure Venezuela's oil and gold. Persian protesters being killed will provide a pretense to get the the theocracy out of power and to stop sponsorship of terrorism. Thew will be bloodshed but it is coming.
