2 moI am anti-Iran Islamic regime. I had an Iranian girl as a roommate once and met a few other Iranians before. They told me how oppressive the Islamic regime is in Iran. They’ve been wanting something like this to happen for decades. Maybe not necessarily a war but freedom.

Exactly, I support a internal revolution by the Iranian people but no war.

But they can't unless we weaken iran army!

I can agree to some degree. I have heard of people leaving their country saying how bad it is and then going there for a vacation. That doesn’t make sense at all. Then there’s people who leave because it is a bad country and never want to go back because of that even if they still have family there. Big difference in my opinion.
- 1 mo
@Agape93 I think an Iranian from Iran may be a good source depending on why they left. Also, depending on how long they were there and whether or not they were born there. Finally, the internal affairs of Iran don't really concern us at all, do they? It's their country. They can do whatever the hell they want there.

I never said they can't do what they want. But the belief and reality they base their opinions on, doesn't make them a bad source of information. Though I do find it interesting you ignored @TsundereMatrix when she asked you what you consider a reliable source of information.

I digress anyway. This guy just doesn’t make any sense no matter how many times it’s explained

1 moIn general i'm against any war but i'm pro for any military action against the Iranian regime...
@smahala1991 i don't blame you for having such mindset towards Iran, because you think that it's just a country minding it's own business, i'm sure that you're American or european, all i can tell you is that if you were living here in my country or anywhere in the middle east, the Iranian regime is a worldwide threat to every person who opposes their ideology, plus when they have enough power to conquer and destroy others, they will use it for religious purposes...
You have to know that sometimes when you accept the other, the other doesn't accept you in return...

Only Israel wants war, war, war. It has been attacking perpetually for 78 years. It has no declared borders for a reason. It plans to rule the entire region with no opposition. Oh, but it calls it "self defense."30 Reply

2 moFirst off, it's a military action, not a War. No one has formally declared War on anyone
Keeping Iran from developing nuclear weapons, stopping it's support for terrorists, protecting Israel from future attacks, and eliminating 47 years of tyranny against its own people, has been talked about by US and other politicians. Finally, Netanyahu and Trump have taken steps to do it.
I support the conflict, as do so many Iranian expats, and hope it soon comes to a peaceful end.24 Reply- 2 mo
People are getting killed, planes are getting shot down, all kinds of stuff is happening. Yes, that makes it a war. It doesn't matter whether the war has been declared or not. As a matter of fact, by your logic, Vietnam was also not a war. I'm sure you think it was, and so do I. And I think Iran is a war? Absolutely.

@msc545 , @AviatorTom
Yes and Ukraine is a 30 day Special Military Operation according to Putin. Ukrainians may disagree. Tom you are always on the wrong side of everything. Wars are not defined by words but actions. Would you still believe tRump if he called it birthday party for the Ayatollah?
It's a war and a regional war now. The straight of Hormuz is shut down. The worlds oil supply has been disrupted affecting 100 country's economies. Every oil nation in the gulf has been hit by US, Israeli, or Iranian weapons. And you're playing bullshit games with words to defend your orange criminal. - 2 mo
@OneViewpoint Whether it's legally a war is important. If it's not, then the War Powers Act applies, which means the US must end the conflict after 60 days unless Congress approves a continuance. If it is legally a War, the conflict can continue with no deadline. The US Constitution gives the authority to declare War on Congress, and Congress hasn't done that. President Trump would love for it to be legally a War, which I'm pretty sure is not your intent.
- 2 mo
Tom, you must be kidding. Congress is not going to do a goddamn thing in response to this war, one way or the other. They are going to ignore it just like they ignore everything Trump does, legal or illegal. We have no laws anymore, or the laws that we do have on the books don't count, apparently. Trump has been ignoring the Constitution ever since he took office, and the courts and Congress have done virtually nothing to stop him.

... and of course, I'm anti Iran war... I want Iran to have a nuclear capability, so they can wipe Isreal and the U. S. off of the map for god's sake! Alah Akbar!
10 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Iran has been at war with us for many years, even though we haven't been at war with them. It is the same with China. Once we are done with Iran, we need to take out the leadership in China next before Trump leaves office.
I also hope Trump continues to take down drug cartel leaders and cripples their business. Take down as much evil in the world as possible while he can.

2 mogenerally i think war is bad. but i think a national regime litterally murdering their population for differing political or religious opinions is worse than that. so i personally think the war is the lesser evil wich i find "acceptable" if it serves defeating the larger evil, which in this case i guess it does.

22 Reply- 1 mo
Iran has been working toward destroying Israel and the United States for decades. Previous administrations have been helping them to do so by giving them billions of dollars to discontinue their nuclear program which they have used to build up their armament and weapons which has accelerated their capability.

@Mac-One You're a good boy and believe everything you read and hear on Fox News, don't you? You've done so for a very long time at your age.
Israel was gifted the land they have by the British and with the blessings of the USA so they would do the dirty work in the region that neither of those countries wanted to do openly. How exactly does little Iran pose a threat to the big old USA? They don't, you just want to believe they do. Israel is hated by every country in the region, for good reason. If Iran wants to go to war with them, why the F do YOU care... because daddy told you to?

1 moHow are you 35 and so clueless? Revolution by the Iranian people? How exactly would they go about doing that? They have been under tyrannical control for literal decades. They have no capability or means of overthrowing the ruling system. If they attempted it, they would end up dead. The Iranian citizens need the US's help. We are the most advanced and powerful military force on the planet. And Tom is correct, it's not an actual war.

So you think they would actually drop it on Israel? First of all, I think that would lead you to the destruction of your own country, but more to the point, why would they do that? What would it get them? They would not be able to destroy the whole country of Israel, and it would get them some vicious revenge when they didn't do it. We saw what Israel did to Gaza. Don't think for a moment they wouldn't do it to Iran if they could.
- 2 mo
I don't really think they are a death cult at all. Have you spent any time there? I ask because I have. They are not terrible people, and they don't really want to kill everybody, and they have no desire to get into wars at all. They are not happy with Israel because their disputes go back many, many, many thousands of years, literally. They are not happy with the United States because their disputes with us seem to be fairly recent but pretty explosive, no pun intended.
- 2 mo
Oh you know them do you? How many times have you been there? How long did you stay? Do you speak Farsi? What books have you read by Iranian authors? How familiar are you with a Muslim religion to put it bluntly? I don't think you really know very much about this at all. I just think you think you do because you've listened to too much American propaganda. And do you think that it tells you the truth. What it really does is lie to you.
