I am anti-Iran Islamic regime. I had an Iranian girl as a roommate once and met a few other Iranians before. They told me how oppressive the Islamic regime is in Iran. They’ve been wanting something like this to happen for decades. Maybe not necessarily a war but freedom.

I can agree to some degree. I have heard of people leaving their country saying how bad it is and then going there for a vacation. That doesn’t make sense at all. Then there’s people who leave because it is a bad country and never want to go back because of that even if they still have family there. Big difference in my opinion.

Finally, the internal affairs of Iran don't really concern us at all, do they? It's their country. They can do whatever the hell they want there.

First off, it's a military action, not a War. No one has formally declared War on anyone

Keeping Iran from developing nuclear weapons, stopping it's support for terrorists, protecting Israel from future attacks, and eliminating 47 years of tyranny against its own people, has been talked about by US and other politicians. Finally, Netanyahu and Trump have taken steps to do it.

I support the conflict, as do so many Iranian expats, and hope it soon comes to a peaceful end.

@OneViewpoint Whether it's legally a war is important. If it's not, then the War Powers Act applies, which means the US must end the conflict after 60 days unless Congress approves a continuance. If it is legally a War, the conflict can continue with no deadline. The US Constitution gives the authority to declare War on Congress, and Congress hasn't done that. President Trump would love for it to be legally a War, which I'm pretty sure is not your intent.

Tom, you must be kidding. Congress is not going to do a goddamn thing in response to this war, one way or the other. They are going to ignore it just like they ignore everything Trump does, legal or illegal. We have no laws anymore, or the laws that we do have on the books don't count, apparently. Trump has been ignoring the Constitution ever since he took office, and the courts and Congress have done virtually nothing to stop him.

Iran has been at war with us for many years, even though we haven't been at war with them. It is the same with China. Once we are done with Iran, we need to take out the leadership in China next before Trump leaves office.

Iran has been working toward destroying Israel and the United States for decades. They are not terrible people, and they don't really want to kill everybody, and they have no desire to get into wars at all. They are not happy with Israel because their disputes go back many, many, many thousands of years, literally. They are not happy with the United States because their disputes with us seem to be fairly recent but pretty explosive, no pun intended.
