I'm from Alaska and substance life is a thing here. Build your cabin and hunt your own meat and ultimately you end up trading with fellow substance hunting individuals to get by. It really is unavailable not to co habitat with other humans. Even on the highest level of hunting.

You end up like the "into the wild" guy in a bus eating a bad potato and dying alone. You fucked up once trying to learn your interment and its done. You lost. You've died without any opportunity to learn from one mistake.

With a safety nets of other people you can bounce back from mistakes. An opportunity to learn from a near death experience is invaluable to future generations.
