They’re antagonizing him in the hopes that he will respond irrationally and they’ll use that to justify whatever horrible thing they do next. Interestingly, Drumpf has a track record for handling direct antagonism with unexpected grace and being a total douche where it’s inappropriate and unnecessary. I’m referring of course to his ridiculous rhetoric involving Greenland.
Iran is a sticky situation. I fear there’s a very narrow bandwidth of effective and ethical action that won’t trigger a greater conflict, and inaction will have dire consequences as well. I wouldn’t want to be POTUS right now.

Good point. He only responds to power. It may be his response is based on his hormone levels, we dont know.
Maybe tomorrow the Iatollah will be the greatest Iranian leader and they are "good relationship"?
But I don't think T will respond well to direct threat, and a real one... after being shot in the head once.

I seriously doubt if Iran would try to assassinate Trump because it would accomplish nothing and trigger an all out war.

That being said, Iran is prepared to destroy Israel and U. S. military bases in the region if attacked.

What America doesn't grasp is even if you defeat a government and get welcomed with open arms by a lot of the populace there is still a huge number who want revenge and to fight back. That attitude gets passed down the generations and can last hundreds of years.

Trump is setting America up for decades of terrorism and burning bridges with traditional allies.

Iran doesn’t have anything to attack anyone with. Their money doesn’t go to homeland defense it goes to proxies like Hamas that does their bidding for them. Remember the IDF had complete and total air superiority over the entire country in just one day prior to our strikes on nuke sites. When the regime changes the proxies will also fall because their funds will be cut off
