A President is supposed to keep the border secure, but Biden and the whore Kamala let illegal immigrants, terrorists, drug traffickers, child sex traffickers stream over the border unvetted at an unprecedented rate.

Why you think that the fact that they were German citizens constitutes a "difference" is kind of weird, as they obviously were germans citizens, just as ICE goons are American citizens.

Anyway... I would not compare ICE with the gestapo in particular, but rather with the SS or the Einsatzgruppen, which was part of the SS.

One of the roles of the SS was to round up Jews and remove them to ghettos at first, and then, eventually, to concentration camps.

The fate of the European Jews arrested and rounded up by the nazi regime wasn't necessarily destined to be death by genocide, even though Jews were killed in large groups almost right from the start. Initially, there were efforts to get them to emigrate (with large punitive fees intended to steal their collective wealth and keep it in Germany) and by 1940, there were also talks of deporting them to Madagascar, which, at the time, was a French colony that ended up under their control following the fall of France.

In any case, there clearly was a "racial" element to it, as well as an effort to brand Jewish people as undesirable criminals who didn't belong in Germany. There was the idea that all of Germany's woes were caused by the Jews. The Jews had to leave.

Just as it is the case with ICE, it was not a precise, lawful operation. The nazis granted themselves the power to arrest and brutalize pretty much anyone they wanted to arrest and jail/deport/kill without trial or something equivalent to due process. All in the name of some kind of national "emergency", which served tp justify the swiftness and the boldness of their actions.

@mike_hum There clearly is a strong racial element as far as trumpism and ICE is concerned and, just as importantly, a desire to depict them as criminal human scum who are out to make trouble: to make america "unsafe". trump called the immigrants criminals "who poison the blood of the country". He has spread all kinds of racist disinformation to portray illegal (or not) immigrants as rapists, murderers, drug pushers for the cartels, pedophiles (which is weird, considering the fact that he, himself is a pedophile).

So, there is clearly a racist campaign of dehumanization to justify the unlawful and brutal treatment provided by ICE, which, in itself, in its current form under trump, is not an entirely legal organization, if only because of the tactics that they use.

So, in the end, yes: ICE, right now, is comparable to the nazis efforts to get rid of "undesirable" people.
