There has never been a class of people more privileged than modern western women; maybe especially white women. Thanks to evolutionary biology, we are creatures designed to struggle. These ultra privileged people, particularly women, have to invent hardships to overcome. They are highly irrational, motivated almost exclusively by their feelings and they have an abundance of free time to waste on their “cause”. Lenin’s perfect “useful idiots”.
Fascism has never taken hold in the absence of such people.

Thats not fascism thats called invest and financing. The Venezuelans need investment and infrastructure for their economy and to develop oil/gas industries. The us provides financing for this and the Venezuelans repay that financing out of oil sales. Its just like how you buy your home or maybe your car, if you could buy it yourself outright you would but if you can't you get a loan which you are expected to pay back. Its no different than how Saudi Arabia set up its oil industry which they now own, they bought AMRACO; they didn't just decide to nationalise overnight with a big fuck you to America, investors in the Saudi economy and renege on loans because they felt like it.
