My wife and started attending a liberal, nondenominational church when we first moved here in 2002. It was wonderful for over 10 years. But white, latte-liberals from the San Francisco Bay area started retiring here. They were hard core Democrats with advanced degrees and corporate careers.

They moved into expensive homes in white communities but started buying into all the woke bullshit, including guilt over "white privilege". They studied Robin Diangelo books and talked about how to help black people.
These old, latte-liberals knew nothing about being black. Robin Diangelo isn't black. But they thought they knew what black people needed. Their attitude was condescending and essentially racist.

They literally groveled before any black person they saw as if that person was a rare, fragile life form. Black people laughed at those boot lickers. Meanwhile, my conservative friends treated blacks with the same respect as everyone else. They hung out together, spoke the same language, played music together, etc.

At the same time, the latte-liberals continued living comfortably in their big homes and congratulating each other on their wokeness while doing nothing but running their mouths.

And naturally, they assumed that anyone who didn't vote Democrat or accept the "white guilt" narrative was a racist. But they knew they were highly intelligent and informed because they had advanced degrees, read the NYT and listened to NPR.

Because they are the people that can jail you, kill you or cancel you; if they feel you're a threat. Blacks like all minorities can't really do shit on a national, let alone global scale, like White people can.

So, in essence, if you want anything to succeed, you need a White person on your side, or your Black ass is going over the side.
