Democrats will win back the House for sure. It's almost impossible for an unpopular president to hold the House in a midterm election. The Senate is very unlikely. They'll need a recession to have any possible chance and even that might not be enough. Most GOP Senators up for reelection in 2026 are in safe seats.

I rate the Democrats a 40% chance to take the House, with a slim margin if it happens, and a 10% chance to take the Senate, due in part to Texas redistricting.
