Why is that some days I just hate being a woman because of society? Why do I feel that way?

I am not crazy. Please don't tell me that my feelings are not valid because they are. And, no. I do not want a sex change. I love men, so it's not most of their fault. Some days though, I just hate the expectations that I feel are placed upon us by society. Even now, some people will say they don't believe this or that way, but there is certain amount of inference that comes out of communication at times. Why?

You play by societies rules, play their game. I've never done that. I've learned to pretend to but I actually don't. I'll go out into the wilds and fix up a cave to live in if I feel like it. I have the skills to make it really nice and make it so you could walk right by it and not know it's there. Do several of these miles apart and you'll never be seen coming and going. If you live like that you can stack up money working at a gas station. It's just an example but I can do things others can't. Society lives in a bubble. If I did fix up caves or dig holes to live in then I'm "homeless" by society's metric. In reality I have 3 or even 5 fairly nice apartments that I pay no rent or taxes on. Dry wall, air conditioning, hot and cold running water. I'm willing to run the risk of appearing odd or crazy. I don't really care, society doesn't have that much to offer me that I would invest heavily into it. Other people have friends or at least close acquaintances to impress. Men also want a proof of financial prowess to impress women. Thus, people will go through anything to not be mocked or scoffed at. Me, I just do not care. These things are important to other people but they trap those people within a societal framework that is less than ideal to put it mildly.

Fact 1: since the days of written history some 5000 years ago, women are objectified in ways you already know.

Fact 2: it was only some 200 years ago that women are "equal" to men.

Today, written in Law or (mostly) not, gender discrimination is a deeply ingrained fabric of society, be it in the East or the West.

With no ill intent, I think many men still enjoy Patriarchy. This is evident in worldwide political positions, where the majority of elected positions are men.

And in the building block of society, family "head" is still the man.

To conclude, the fabric of society is still men lead and women follow. And yes, your observation is correct. And I don't think it's going to change in our lifetime, although much movements for "equality" are raised, socially and legally.

Most of us are pretty happy with our birth gender and enjoy being that gender. Biology isn't equal though so society has different expectations for both gender. That's just a consequence of differences.

I suspect you are feeling the incompatibilities of "You can have it all feminism". You should be a CEO but look really hot as hell whilst nursing babies at the board meetings.

Generally women are more happier, the more their life looks like what they are told it should look like. Whilst women were happier than men for most of the 20th century but now they are considerably unhappier than men.

Social media reinforces this by curating influencer life styles which will naturally make you feel envious/jealous.

I 'd suggest decide what life you want and can reasonably have and stay away from influencers.

Your feelings are totally valid. Many people feel like you for the same problem just in different perspectives and situations. It happens when you're frustrated because you know something's possible but a belief you have is holding you back from attaining it.

Like stereotypes. All women are... Assumption- We all really want to get married, have kids, and.. Now, some of use do, and that is fine. Assumptions among even some of my female friends are different sometimes. I don't get it.

But why do you care about peoples assumptions? Most people want kids, that’s a fact, so it’s not strange thag people assume you do when most people do. It’s not strange to assume you have 10 fingers because most people do have 10 fingers. If you don’t fit the majority or aren’t what people assume or expect then so what. You say you hate being a woman because of expectations/assumptions, but there are lots of expectations/assumptions about men too. It’s just how the human minds works. Right or wrong - we assume and expect. Working on your confidence and self-esteem can help you to stop caring about what other people think and expect from you.
