Reporting in the Wall Street Journal tells us that Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers receive a bonus if they meet their 3,000 arrests per day quota, even if the people they arrest are later released.

No wonder they like arresting protesters.

I trust the sites that reported this, but I can't find a link to the original WSJ story. I'll keep looking.

However: Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants
• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants
• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

That would be something like 125 arrests per hour, 2-3 per minute. Double that if you consider they probably working 12hour shifts at most.

they get a bonus for the number of arrests. Not bad arrests. An ICE agent has to act on the information he has at the time. Also the way the courts are in democrat states most of the protesters will be let go with little or no punishment.
