Iran is a war the U. S. can't win unless it starts nuking. And if it does that, Russia, China and/or Pakistan would probably fire nukes. I don't want a nuclear war.

If attacked, Iran will destroy Israel and all U. S. bases in the region, including some naval vessels. And the U. S. couldn't win a ground war there due to its size, location, terrain, level of sophisticated defensive capability, and allies.

Is that a cost the U. S. is willing to pay to do the bidding of Israel against a country that never attacked us?

In a way, I hope the U. S. is stupid enough to fire missiles at Iran so that Israel would be annihilated.

Regime change in Iran has been the holy grail for the Trans Atlantic powers for decades now. The problem is no one supports direct military intervention and they have yet to find a suitable proxy. For better or worse the people of Iran have supported their leaders. They don't mind the authoritarianism. And the heads of state have remained loyal. The protests are probably just noise, my guess is they are attempting a coup. Will see if it happens.

Problem is when the person leading the mission is Elmer Fudd and your fighting Wily Coyote. It's anyone's guess how things will turn out. It probably won't be good either way.

I do believe Donald Trump wants to help people and ordinary citizens in Iran but he is afraid of the Iranian government retaliation.
