They are not going to defeat Iran, though. Iran will never surrender.11 Reply

2 moEvery war ends. The questions that bother me are, at what cost? Will the cost justify the folly of old men this time? Was this war necessary or an act of greed vs religious dogma? Who will benefit? Why aren't those people fighting?

2 moThere is a history with wars. The war is won long before it's over. That's because the loser refuses to admit they lost, and keeps fighting We've seen it over and over again.
Iran has already lost. They just won't admit it. They will keep fighting, just like we've seen many times in history. The only way they can win is to keep fighting long enough that the other side gets tired of the war and stops. They can't win militarily though.
The fight in Iran is internal. The Iranian people need to take control, and KEEP control. Keeping control is the hard part. We've seen that before also.
The US is certainly not alone in wanting a regime change. But they can't stop at a regime change. They have to support it for years to come.
The war in Iran will be over when the fanatics no longer are viable. That could take years or decades.12 Reply - 8.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
2 moYeah, very soon! All of you were worried that the Venezuela thing was gonna be a forever war!! In the first place, neither of these are wars! And, secondly, that one only lasted about 12 HOURS! SOME FOREVER WAR!!!
You REALLY SHOULD ALL stop listening to CNN and all the other bullshit mass media!! You're gonna get real old real fast from worrying so much about shit that's not even real!!23 Reply- 2 mo
@FunkyMonkee
I had to stop 🛑 listening to anything having to do with this war. Period.
I felt like I was listening to a play by play football game. Every few hours everything changed. It just got to be too much!
So I haven't reached for any conclusions about it one way or the other.
And I haven't watched CNN since the early 2000's! - 2 mo
@sage2021 I just get quick updates from one or two shows I watch every weekday. Only 2 per day so, I'm not overwhelmed with it. Most days, it's hardly talked about at al.
If I EVER watched CNN it was before I knew they were crooked, back in the late `80's or early `90's, otherwise, the only time see anything about them is when smart and truthful people ridicule how stupid it is!!! - 2 mo
@FunkyMonkee
I swear I don't know how Wolf Blitzer landed a job telling the news on CNN. Man! That guy would put me to sleep 😴🥱 because of the sound of his monotone voice and he wasn't pretty to look at either.🙄
I'm glad that you aren't getting all stressed out watching the news. 📰 Just enough to stay informed is really all anyone needs.

War itself not so much
Iran is on its last legs even if they want us to believe they’re not
It’s the aftermath that’s dangerous in of itself
Unfortunately war remains inevitable as long as humans put value in natural resources

Yes, I think that the US will end up bombing the power infrastructure the day after Easter and ground forces will take over Kharg Island, crippling their oil capabilities. The rest of the mullahs will either flee or be killed and a new regime will take place.

Bombing civilian infrastructure constitutes a war crime. Not that Trump and Kegstand would be above taking a page from Putin's terror book in Ukraine, but at least some higher military should intervene here, no?

@DryGermanGuy It would ne nice if NATO gave us some help but that ain't gonna happen.

NATO is a *defense* alliance. You were not attacked. Trump instigated this whole bullshit circus on his own, or rather as Netanyahu’s poodle. Ask him to bail you out.
12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. To be fair, it's par for the course when it comes to the US.
Go in, make a mess, fuck off and claim "victory".
The US is the worlds biggest threat, at the moment.

2 moI think if Trump just doesn't leave and say he won , it goes on for one year or longer. But US is running out of Munition. Navy ships have been hit. 21 Planes/Helicopters have been destroyed. US has lost its Bases in Middle East. But if Trump leaves now , Israel gets destroyed by Iran. Israel is half destroyed now. There is a better than 50/50 a Nuke will be used against Iran.

2 moAt some point sure, but will definitely take longer than ever the monkey in the white house planned (if he planned anything at all).

2 moNever. this battle will end by April 9 but as long as: cruel people are alive, and don't change, war against the cruel won't end. Ever.

2 moEventually. EVERY war has to end at somepoint. But I think Trump greatly miscalculated. He underestimated the regime's capabilities and overestimated the general population's capabilities
10 Reply 11.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Considering how long it's really been going on, probably not. After all, the United States defense corporations are making tons of money off this war, as are Trump and his friends, so why would it end?

10 ReplyIf China, North Korea, or Russia do not intervene, as they have not intervened so far, the war will indeed end in a short time.
