Real liberalism is about preserving individual liberty, that can mean using the government to enforce liberty for example when corporations abuse citizens. Real liberals and libertarians tend to get along well and they are closely aligned, but their tolerance to use the government will differ.

Why it was removed and the one who took it away didn't tell anyone he did it before Pretti was shot is also a question that needs to be answered. The problem with cameras is that we can't know the full story until we see all angles and most of the time, they conflict with each other.

We had a large protest here in Huntington Beach on Sunday. I would NEVER in my wildest imaginings go there with my 9mm holstered for any reason whatsoever and not expect real trouble. As is usual, we had one mindless individual with a huge 'FUCK ICE" poster waving it around, and as you might imagine he seemed to fit in with the crowd.
I seem to be on the same 'mind set' as yourself, with regard to these kinds of things.

@Bricealan If ehst I've read was true, he was forcibly disarmed before being shot. That makes it seem very close to an execution, which is not something we want. Taking his gun removed the threat, and since it appeared to happen before he was shot, at that point he was unarmed an no longer a risk.

I live in Canada... weapons are strictly controlled... crime rates and gun deaths per capita are much lower than the USA. Canadian students go to school worrying about their marks not getting killed.
