No argument there, although many people like to pretend that the U. S. is the only country that has ever had slavery. In reality, just about every country has had slavery, including many that still practice slavery today. But it’s more advantageous for the regressive left to act like we’re the only ones who have ever had it.

I agree; I hold numerous views that could certainly be considered as left of center, but not the one most commonly associated with the loony left : a staunch dislike of the nation, and the belief belief that it must be dismantled.

I think the only thing that some on the right might not like about me is that I’m a dyed in the wool, cradle to grave atheist, despite which I’m nonetheless going to marry a young Filipina woman next week, who is, like most here, devoutly religious. However, I also hate cars with a passion, so they also might not like that. Still, no one is as intolerant as the regressive left.

They're rea but the far left out weights them. What makes it unbearable is they preach about being tolerant yet their far from it cause as soon as you disagree or challenge their way of thinking it's no longer peaceful, tolerance but it's my way or the high way with them.

There have been times in history when it was a good thing. But those times are long past, or at least they are long past in the western first world. Modern day liberals just don't know when to quit. They always gotta find something to complain about. If they can't find anything legit, they just make stuff up.

Liberals ended slavery and racial segregation.

1960s-'70s liberals believed in peace, love, tolerance, open mindedness, fairness, justice, liberty and freedom, questioning authority, and opposing aggression, war and violence.

Liberalism got hijacked in later decades and went completely off the rails. Modern liberalism has come to represent the opposite of the values I listed.
