That is bad to have untouchables. But the flip side is... shouldn't the govt be able to sue those individuals for various reasons... im sure they could come up with some.

protestors have rights as we know, but they also have responsibilities and restrictions. they are not allowed to interfere. if they do, if they spit on or harm an officer or put their lives at risk... blah blah blah... they can sue them.

there should be a balance and reasonable one. This is the problem with the central power obtaining too much power, which is what china has, north korea, cuba, venezuela under the prior country kidnapper, and possibly usa to some extent now.

All of this is a political circle played out before. its all fine until people rebel... like the cultural revolution. thats a little harder to pull of here with gun rights so I think doesn't happen under the right.

But when the left takes power again, which they will, it gets risky. see how they party has shifted... is shifting... like in nyc.

All due to money printing, weath distribution. If the right leading can get enough jobs, enough people satisified... or distracted, maybe we wiggle through it. It's all about passification. the lefts way is confiscation.

@abc3643 ok if I get time. but isn't it weird that all these illegals are here primarily from overrunning the system so that it was so clogged, they couldn't get through the process to be ejected. We know prior govts ejected many, it was just time consuming.
So enforcing the action... shall we say "aggressively"... possibly illegally with insufficient process... results in alter law suits with those protesting.

In short, yes, it can be tough to sue the Federal Government, but you can do it and it happens all the time.

Federal and most state laws provide for immunity from prosecution for government employees doing their job. That includes federal, state and local police officers, which includes ICE. There have been rare cases of a government employee being sued... successfully... if they commit egregious acts not related to their job.

Sovereign immunity requires that government has to consent to being sued before it can be penalized for carrying out its functions.
