Disagree. No news is no news, that's all. You haven't opened the box yet. Schrodingers cat can be both dead and alive until you open the box and find out, LOL. Avoidance is not resolution.

I have generally found this to be correct... bad news seems to dominant. Positive reinforcement is rare now a days. Thus less news tends to be a positive thing.

The news of a newborn is good, the news that everyone got checks during the pandemic was good.

I found out about a guy importing real Italian desert cheese to make his canoli in the news. I wish I could say I dropped everything I was doing because it sounds funnier but I had nothing going on at that moment so within 20 minutes from reading that news I was already at the store ordering 6.

Agree , usually.

If there’s nothing happening, it often means things are stable and okay. But it depends on context; sometimes silence can hide problems.

Mostly, it’s a reminder not to overthink every little thing.

Disagree no news means nothing is happening. No news means something is very, very wrong.  Like when your kid is being to quiet, and you find them in bathroom making a mess...

Tell that to my friend. She went for tests nobody got back to her so she thought everything was good. Eight months later she last her baby maker to cancer. It almost took her life too.

Generally, but that doesn't work for me. I was fired with no news. To me no news either means that they just haven't gotten around to me, or they don't want to upset me, so they're not telling me it's bad.

For a pessimistic nothing is good. They find the bad every single thing even in heaven even in the most perfect day even if winning a billion dollars they will find the bad there
