There is a lot that one can take from some photos taken through time.

One thing I notice... the American diet needs to change. This woman decided not to kill this guy, but the guy is murdering himself with food. Wake up America!

There's lots more in this story... consideration, human relation.. even in the face of threat and sadness and misery. War and fighting, puts people at odds and it is a waste.

So many others died brutal, awful deaths. These two survived.

You ever see the difference between American Asians and Asian Asians? Even if they are obese, they are thicker, taller and they've got fat heads.

yes, the American diet is garbage. I have made an effort to stay away from sugar, eat more protein and fewer carbs. I have a goal to lose 20 pounds.

very dooable. avoid the natural and artificial, chemical, etc.. eat real food. you'll be fine and it's so obvious we've been polluted with preservatives.

Yes, I was drinking a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi every week and ate M&Ms like they were peanuts. I ate lots of carbs too. This is sort of leftover behavior from when I ran marathons.
I hardboil a bunch of eggs and eat them when I want a snack. I eat one instead of grabbing a handful of M&Ms

yea that stuff is poison, be glad your glands still work right. I wouldn't touch any and switch to a quality chocolate if you want, American candy is total junk. We learned this after traveling... even same brands overseas are formulated different. Trumps govt is right, trying to clean it up. A friend of mine's thyroid went bonkers. Noone knows why and hard to fix... he had Dr pepper and m&ms etc.. . Better off consuming what the body needs and eliminate the junk sources at these ages.
Once your weight is down, some sugar probably fine... good quality. don't waste any calories now on low quality. focus on nutrition.
thats what advice I can give. its what we do, and were all different as to what foods work.

Check out Makhana for nutritious snack. It's seed of lotus plant, from Indian stores... or online. make like popcorn or flavor. lots of nutrients.

I love popcorn but I am not supposed to eat it because I have diverticulitis. The kernels get stuck in the little pockets in my intestine and it gets infected. Very painful.

From the photo I'm seeing a large American whose had his ass kicked by a little woman, I'm assuming he wasn't the only one. I wonder if these experiences are the source of all the misogyny we see in America today

he was an inexperienced pilot in vietnam that got shot down and captured. in the article talks about how he decided not to shoot the girl... im sure she chose not to shoot him as well... because she reminded him of his sister. its a good article.

america is a good concept, but were F'd up as well.

if things go bad in asia, we could see all this again in our livetimes. lets hope not.

Quite an interesting story. I suppose he didn't that much food whilst interned so perhaps porking up was compensating after he was released.
