What I meant was not having term limits is killing us. How much more money can America afford to hemorrhage? @CrystalPeak I'm all in favor of term limits. If the President has term limits, so should the members of Congress. The President is limited to 8years (2 terms), so Representatives should also be limited to 8 years (4 terms). Since a Senator's term is 6 years, less than 8, they should be limited to 12 years (2 terms).
I’m glad you agree. I think most people don’t understand. Their answer to me as always that we would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Yes, we would be losing some good ones, but look how much crappy bathwater there is. It would be worth dumping the entire thing out and starting over. How many mansions did the Obama have? @CrystalPeak I don't think any of the Founding Fathers ever thought about term limits, since they were fundamentally unnecessary. Many people in Congress only stayed a few years... because they had to get back home to tend to their farms. That all changed with the migration to urban cities in the late 1800s.
