most of the "stereotypes" and "generalizations" of either Gen-Z, Millennial, X, Boomer or whatever... I don't see these people around me

most people around are more "normal" and the ones closer to me are actually great and well-adjusted people for the most part...

personally... I remember the times in which I had to show older people how things work because they just can't get it and sometimes, for some things...

in fact, I can be more specific... I did grab the newest Iphone out there to help a kid to figure out how to fix something and I just said... "nevermind" I just called an older kid because they would figure it out much quicker

and I ain't dumb at all... I just didn't want to bother with it and sometimes... people aren't dumb, they just don't want to mess or bother with certain things

and we ALL have gone through that, for sure... lmfao

Oh, absolutely. I can’t do anything online anymore, because they just keep making it harder and harder. All these authentications, verifications and confirmations, etc. it was easy when I started, but it’s super hard now. But that’s part of the problem; yeah, I suck at tech, but at least I can leave the house without my phone and not feel like I’m lost. I’ve seen so many people, and not just young folks, who freak out if they don’t have their phone, or if their phone is not charged.

Gen z was left a total shit show in every way. From politics to sexuality to what should be considered moral or not in general society. The generation before them completely fucked everything up and now the world is punishing them for trying to figure out how to assemble the broken pieces into something that works.

Maybe they are a little dumber and ya they have lots of problems but you gotta respect theyre trying. There's more business owners belonging to gen z than any other.

The ones to really worry about I think is the kids under 15 right now. They can't read and they're being taught by guess who.

I think our schools just suck. The literacy rate is the lowest it has ever been, which really shouldn't make sense because you need to be literate to use the internet for the most part.

I think that’s largely because of teachers unions, which in recent decades have been far more interested in accumulating and wielding political power than serving the interests of their constituents. And if you think it’s an ironclad prerequisite to read at a meaningful level to use the web, think again; why do you think nearly every article nowadays is accompanied by a video?

I definitely think the teachers unions are a massive problem. If it's not tenure being abused, it's the unions sucking up all the money and the teachers getting the scraps. It's amazing how we pay the most into education in the world yet we are among the least educated.

The problem I usually have with the videos are that they are for a completely different story and not for the article it is placed with. I like having the videos there in case someone they like to take out of context speaks so I can check to see if there has been any obvious signs of editing.

Test scores are faked all the time so yes... ya know schools would purposefully raise their worst students scores just so their schools can look better to the board? Meaning lots of inflated faked results have always existed.
And now they're doing the reverse so they can blame phones and gain more power in controlling censorship to the tech kids can have. And this is probably led by the government which I'd bet gives incentives to schools for doing as such.
As it's to further push this idea the internet needs ID to maybe one day needing an ID to even buy a phone.
The writing is on the wall for this.

I grow up around the older gen Zer's and most were social but I think technically made a lot of us comfortable without socializing also Covid seem to do a number on our social skills.
