Anonymous(30-35)+1 yLess was expected of Gen Zers when they were children than any other generation in history. They are held to lower standards and told they were victims of everyone else, which gave them an excuse to fail. It should come as no surprise to anyone that they are failing as adults.

bullying is a natural phenomenon and has always existed since the dawn of time throughout history and the animal kingdom
in the past, people were encouraged to confront their bullies and fight back but schools didn't want this and tried anti-bullying campaigns which don't work. bullies will be bullies regardless but now the victims can't fight back
the only difference today is that bullying is a lot more open and secretly being hidden being false victimhood so they can be given the right to bully those who they deem as oppressors hence bullying nowadays is one-sided
take this screenshot of women talking shit about short men for example. if they want to talk shit, that's fine but the reverse itself would not be deemed acceptable which is where the disconnect comes

imagine if dudes talked shit about fat women openly like this as far as women calling other women fat is concerned, these such comments are nothing men haven't heard of before and have gotten used to. women are used to positive comments and validation such that any negative comments become a shocker so really it's no surprise one might think there's something wrong with Gen Z when really this has been going on for a long time and nothing unique to Gen Z

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI really think that everybody is out there to get us, you know. Because of the tough competition and all. Which hightens our defenses and do anything we can to peotect ourselves.
There is no trust and everything is superficial. Damaging it even more. And I have noticed this is more in girls than guys. Though guys are also catching up as they notice that girls fet higher grades than them. So theu try to imitate their professional and academic characteristics.
Entitlement is through the roof. Thanks to the internet. That is why I am turning away from it and focusing on paperback books. To the roots, it seems.
I would also add the self-centred behaviour. Just looking out for your interests only. Althlugh it is common, but it is taken two to three bits over the notch by our generation. It feels, you know. That this person is just here for his/her interests. As if, dealing with a machine rather than a human.
The psychology department in medical science will be earning shit ton of money in the near future it seems.

+1 yTheir problem is that they are spoiled rotten and they think they are entitled to everything at someone else's expense. They lived such a pampered life that they have no idea what responsibility and sacrifice means. Their heads were turned into such mush by a left wing indoctrination in the schools because of the corrupt teacher's unions, that they think the world owes them a living and they are entitled to everything free. The corrupt elements in government have them right where they want them, unable to face reality, weak, poorly educated, and easily manipulated.
They will eventually suffer a rude awakening.

I guess it doesn't matter what they grew up to be - because they don't work either 🤷🏼♀️ - +1 y
I feel like every generation, when they fail to understand the younger generation, critique and degrade in some ways. It’s how things have happened going back to the Roman’s and is basically as old as massively documented history. “The younger generation - this or that - or they are so liberal with sex - or don’t like work - or why are this way…I wasn’t like that ”. It’s how humans seem to do things. So I would say, sure try and create a society for younger generations and older generations to flourish.
00 Reply3.8K opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. They are the first real day care generation. They were stuck in daycare since they were 6 weeks old and never felt secure in their own home. Then guilty feeling parents try to make up for neglecting their kids so they can afford a big house and a new big SUV by being permissive and buying any stupid thing the kid's nit wit friends have

Howdy! I never thought about my son as being a daycare baby. This is true and shocking! Except he had do go into daycare, not because I wanted a new SUV or a big new house, but out of necessity.
I wasn't able to go to college like you and your wife did.
Hey, I was wondering, which generation was it where the babies on up were praised for everything they did.
"Oh look, you went potty in the big boy potty" and they get the whole family to praise them 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
And the kid is just eating up all this praise from the time they were born. The trouble is, they were so used to being praised for everything they did, when they grew up and got a job they weren't getting praises anymore or that much. We never went around clapping for and praising co-workers all the time. So I guess they were so used for getting praises, even for minute things. That it must have been different for them.
I'm not saying don't praise your kids, just don't make them live for it. - +1 y
@sage2021 I know that some people had no choice but I live in a neighborhood where my wife was the only mother that stayed home with the kids. It was a decision we made before our first son was born. My wife had a good job too and that paycheck would have made our lives a lot easier.. We drove around in old cars and never really had a real vacation

+1 yGen Z is dealing with the mess created by the baby boomers.
Also, why are you arguing with high school kids? She made a good point, a person who is almost 30 should not be getting into online arguments with kids. They're kids! Are you seriously surprised that kids are acting childish? They're acting like children because they are children.

+1 yMaybe they were friends. Friends say all kinds of rude things to others. Especially on social media, where people go for the sole purpose of attention seeking. If the person who posted was fat or wasn't fat and either ways was hurt she should tell the person off.
Why were you trying to be a hero? Lmao.
If you can't handle rude things said on social media, stay off the internet.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yfrom my perspective, i think this generation is actually spreading more awareness about bullying and promotes being kind to others. people concealing bullying as jokes has unfortunately always been an issue, i don‘t think it‘s specific of this generation. yes, i think there is an issue that people are too selfish. but at the same time taking care of your mental health and raising awareness is normalized and promoted more! throughout history, people have always complained about the new generation. i don‘t think it‘s fair to judge all members of a generation so harshly!

I actually agree with what she said. Why *did* you start something with an 18 year old? I understand you wanting to defend the girl who was weight shamed, but as the older adult, you should’ve stayed out of it. Not every fight is your fight.

It's just a way for people to try to avoid getting in trouble for their bad behavior.

But why fight battles for other people? I've seen it a lot in Indian soap operas from millenial gen. It's hilarious.
- +1 y
@anon1903 I find that most people don't get involved. They just take out their phones and start recording the fight, instead of trying to break it up. People would rather go viral than help out other people.

Both are equally wrong, in my opinion
