The asker: “I come across so many in this age range who are so rude and disrespectful. This generation is absolutely fucked”

    1. Were you rude or disrespectful / pushed them to be so you had a biased perspective?

    2. Are you only paying attention when Gen Z does something ‘disrespectful’ in your eyes rather than seeing Gen Z as capable of doing good and being capable of kindness?

    3. As a Gen Z person, the actions of one doesn’t make or break the generation. I’ve seen kind Millennials and nasty Millennials, nasty Boomers and kind Boomers, etc. Like people are people and the individual makes the individual.

I will say I hold the door for those in my community, I look both ways before crossing the street, if I made a mistake I’ll own up to it, I never raised my voice to a teacher or someone of authority in my community, and I stay in my lane / not snoop or gossip about people behind their backs. The fine members of the community built me to be who I am, so have all the Gen Z who witnessed this loving community. I don’t care if people see this generation as ‘cooked’ or whatever, time will tell.

I already know what it is that I said. I don’t need you to put it in quotation marks kiddo. “As a Gen Z person, the actions of one doesn’t make or break the generation. I’ve seen kind Millennials and nasty Millennials, nasty Boomers and kind Boomers, etc. Like people are people and the individual makes the individual.” See? I can do that too. What exactly do you think that accomplishes?

@Kingofkings1992 I use quotation marks for all askers when applicable including a diverse group of GaG users, sorry to offend as that isn’t my intention to do so.
I love that you used my quotations to convey the tone you wanted to assert. You definitely did a transformative take on things.

In my opinion, the biggest problem with Gen Z is the lack of empathy for others, as well as the way they respond to constructive criticism. On the one hand, they advocate for diversity, inclusivity, and open-mindedness, yet on the other, some seem unwilling to engage with different perspectives and will get very aggressive if you happen to disagree with them, even if your comment is phrased in a neutral, inoffensive way.

I've seen a lot of people posting controversial takes or saying the most horrible stuff online (for example, I recently came across a video on TikTok where they were mocking someone for their clothes), and then getting shocked when someone calls them out, and be like, "You're way too sensitive. I don't understand why you're posting this. You can make your own post."

They like to be cruel, but then complain about the loneliness epidemic. I wonder what might possibly be causing the loneliness.

I believe this has something to do with upbringing, as well as the online culture of echo chambers. When you're used to receiving praise and validation and only interact with like-minded individuals, every disagreement might feel like a personal attack. Human civilization developed through the exchange of different ideas and dialogue; if you never get exposed to differing opinions or challenged, you don't grow as a person.

I'd like to add a disclaimer that not everyone in this generation is like that, and you can definitely find kind, hard-working, empathetic individuals in this generation who don’t behave this way, but most of them do

Old people are ways worse when it come to rudeness, you don't know how embarrassed I used to get with my mother because she's so rude to everyone just because she pay, because she pay she think she can do watever she want and treat people like shit, doing full scandal for nothing or saying the most vile things about people in front of us or a cashier for no reasons very loudly.

Gen Z don't' do this but yea their pretty annoying with the whole cancel stuff

Gen Z is chronically online and a result of the gynocentric social order that raises girls to become entitled, narcissistic degenerates and raises boys to be beta cuck soyboys

    - masculinity in men makes them logical, proud, protective, hard-working

    - femininity in women makes them sweet, caring, nurturing and empathetic

    - masculinity in women makes them egotistic, delusional, unhinged, heartless

    - femininity in men makes them soft, weak, emotional, violent

Gen Z comprises of the latter two rather than the former two

now to be fair, older generations aren't exactly angels themselves compared to Gen Z

after all, it's mostly been older people who are rioting and setting Tesla dealerships on fire in these recent violent protests

.. every generation has its flaws. But honestly, I’ve seen a lot of Gen Z people who are thoughtful, creative, and care deeply about issues that matter. Maybe it’s not about a whole generation being ‘messed up,’ but more about how individuals are raised, the pressure they face, and the world they’re trying to navigate. Respect goes both ways, and sometimes people just need a bit more understanding than judgment...

That weren't disciplined at home and they were brainwashed in government schools. Generation z may end up being the proletariat in the future no future no opportunity no education no hope.

They are like the boomers. The millennials were constantly criticized by the boomers and Gen Z constantly hyped up to be the best. Gen Z just ended up being like the baby boomers rude and constantly criticizing everyone. No one wants to work or deal with them. And the millennials are just chill and layed back.

In all honesty you should read my answer because I said it depends on your tone if you came across rude for the ‘Gen Z users’ to behave that way…. He called “Kiddo”. Clearly he is rude and gets a rise out of people which proves his predetermined notions. Nothing will fix that.
