Depends on the personality making the accusation. A lot of the time for a lot of "Conservative / Religious" personalities, projection is what they do. So yeah, for those people you can pretty much bet they are struggling with guilt about what they are accusing you of. It's pretty hilarious to watch the mental illness at work.

• Look at the Evangelical Christian obsession with sex and their constant cheating scandals.
• Look at the same group grifting money from dirt poor morons while shouting about Jesus helping the poor.
• Look at the number of these people caught groping little girls and altar boys.
• Look at how many of them are ultimately outed as closet homosexuals.
• Look at the way they lie and accuse Antifa of violence while denying their own constant violent tendencies.
• Look at the way they lie or repeat lies then claim other people are the ones lying.

Then there's the arguments that a few forgotten documents is exactly the same as stealing crates of government documents, hiding them, showing them to people with no security clearance, lying to the FBI about them, etc., or that splitting up families when required by law is no different from having a policy to do so and not track where the children went so they could never be re-united with their parents.

Depends on who is giving the accusation and if they’re found out later to give away the whole game.

I accused a certain politician of being weak on Russia and that Russia had ties to China (they made drones for Russia), even predicted that North Korea would give them troops before it happened via GAG.
That wasn’t a “confession” since I would 100% be tough on Russia and assist Ukraine, our allies instead of poking them in the eyes as our adversaries strengthen alliances on the world stage.
Russia, China, North Korea are bad news for us and the free world. To be weak against them would be equivalent to shooting ourselves in the foot.
