Why do some people not believe the story that it was a staffer behind Donald Trump account who posted the video of the Obamas as apes?

I know this topic is a little old but I was just curious.

There are people out there who are saying it was Donald Trump and the staffer explanation story is a fib.

Because staffers don't usually work in the middle of the night. Regardless, the buck stops with the name on the account.

That said, US taxpayer dollars are going to fund MAGA propaganda on Twitter.

Leavitt herself said that the posts come "straight from the horse's mouth" meaning he posts his own "truths" (which is a stupid name for a social media post by the way). It was totally Trump who posted the ape video. It's on brand for him anyway and to lie about it being a staffer as well.

As for those who believe it was a staffer, well they tend to believe anything he says no matter how ridiculous it is. They'd cut off their own nose if he asked them to and believe it's best for the country. 'Murica and all. It's a cult.

Because it doesn’t matter either way. Either Drumpf posted it, or he told the staffer to post it, or he hired the staffer and trusted them to post sh*t without him screening everything first. Drumpf has culpability no matter how you look at it.

I'm not saying they brush their teeth for them, yet surely politicians don't always write their own tweets or posts themselves - "ain't they got better things to do*"?
