We are basically afraid of the approximately 37% of the country that would happily shoot us all in the head if we opposed Trump or tried to depose him. We are also afraid of going broke because in this country, going broke is pretty close to being a death sentence. Our economy is in shambles, and our social structures, such as the US, are crumbling. You're going to see this get worse in the next year rather than getting better. We have what we call midterm elections coming up which are essentially elections for our Congress. Trump is terrified of these because he's not going to do well, and he's likely to lose control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. If that happens, we can expect him to declare martial law, and then we're going to have a civil war on our hands. Even now, Trump is talking about canceling elections or surrounding polling places with troops so that people can't vote. He may have already tampered with our voting system so that it doesn't matter whether we vote or not, he'll still win. Or at least his Republican representatives will still win. Pretty much the same thing. What country are you writing from?

I appreciate the heartfelt response but maybe I can quote a great American..."the only thing to fear is fear itself". You can take your country back. Get out and protest. Organize. Do you know what happens to protesters here? Have you been listening to the news? What's your word? They get shot. I'm trying to tell you that we don't think voting matters anymore. People that support Trump are all members of militias and have lots of guns and lots of anger. I am not personally going to go climb up in the hills to oppose them and sacrifice my life or my health to do it. We don't have anything that matters that much.

What I'd like to do more than anything is to migrate to your country. I'm a healthcare professional, and I have a lot to offer. I would like to live in a place where I don't feel threatened every day.
