The reactions to this have been interesting to watch, particularly from those on the left. Why? Well, golly gee, I'm struggling to think of reasons why I don't believe a single bit of their newfound Christian fervor. Hmmm... I wonder why... I mean, if only I could think of just a few examples of recent times when their own people have said, done, cheered, sponsored, welcomed, or themselves excused all manner and degree of vile, disgraceful, idiotic, and blasphemous shit and then subsequently told rightly outraged Christians "oh, calm down! It's just artistic expression! They're just havin' fun! They don't mean it, so stop overreacting!"

... YouTube videos in 2006 were posted of a guy flushing Eucharistic hosts down the toilet.

... hosts of The View claimed that Jesus Christ would have been the Grand Marshall of the New York Pride Parade or an employee or volunteer at Planned Parenthood (I don't know if the latter was from The View specifically or not, but that claim has been made and wouldn't surprise me if it was from them anyway).
... a feminist march in Brazil (I think) featured a mock display of Mary aborting the Christ-child in her womb.
..."artist" Andres Serrano did his infamous "Piss Christ".
... LGBT activists in Poland released images of Our Lady of Czestochowa with the traditional sun or halo replaced with a rainbow flag.
... people have pitched the intergalactically stupid idea that Jesus Christ was some kind of Marxist agitator or revolutionary.
I'm sure I'll be able to think of reasons why these anti-Christs, these Luciferian degenerates have absolutely no credibility WHATSOEVER on this matter, but I just can't put my finger on it right now.
I will say though that I'm quite certain it has nothing at all to do with their hatred of Donald Trump... or really, just whoever they don't like that's running the show. Take, for instance, in 2014, when Pope John Paul II, who was direct, firm, and unambiguous on abortion, contraception, and same-sex marriage, was about to be canonized a saint (which, for the record, I don't think should have happened, at least not as soon as it did) was condemned by the New York Times for his failures on sex abuse ("A Saint, He Ain't", the article was called). Four years later, when Pope Francis was accused of being a sex abuse cover-up artist by no less than the former Vatican ambassador to the United States, the same former newspaper dismissed him entirely, claiming that "oh, he just hates Francis because he's more progressive and tolerant".
So yes, even though I absolutely hate this post by Trump, I don't buy the selective outrage from the left.
Any image depicting trump in a positive light is obscene.
Couldn't give a s**t less about the religious right's outrage. Blasphemy is a victimless crime and, besides, they're amongst the sole responsible for the right-wing trainwreck that we've all been witnessing during the last 10 years

I am Catholic. I don’t care about it. In a CNN poll a few months back found that 100%, read that right - 100%!, of people that identify as MAGA support him. Rock solid support. The media today and a few months back want to see a split or civil war amongst his supporters. That hasn’t happened. They can dream on… it is mental masturbation for them.
