1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men in the US experience stalking victimization in their lifetimes. Data indicates that 5.5% of women which is about 7 million women and 3% of men which is about 3.7 million are stalked within a 12 month period, most victims being young adults within the range of 18-24 years of age.

The statistics don’t accurately reflect what is happening. Those numbers are based upon REPORTING. Men are far less likely to report be stalked and harassed, and when they do almost never receive any form of legal or social support for being victimized.
This is not evidence that women are less likely to stalk and harass people. It’s evidence that they are almost never held accountable.

This research is an amalgamation of the greatest quantity of far reaching research spanning decades. It is by far the best example i have seen of reporting that factors in the enormous disparity between male & female victimization and male & female reporting and support responses.
As a preview i will share that we now recognize what Erin Pizzey actually reported decades ago to be true. The vast majority of abusive heterosexual relationships are mutually abusive. The rare cases in which abuse is entirely one-sided, women are the abuser more than twice as often as men. Lesbian relationships report the most abuse. While gay men report the least.
All of these trends translate to every other facet of law, and beyond.

Well, the reality is stickier than that. Women’s rates are likely lower, because we know that they can and do weaponize false accusations.
Men’s rates are definitely higher because they are far less likely to report and receive support if they do. There’s an additional factor. We know that not holding any given demographic responsible for the crimes they commit only emboldens them to offend more frequently and they usually escalate. So women who have gotten away with stalking and/or abuse will keep on doing it even if they are reported.
Some “experts” have suggested likely nearly equal cases of victimization across the board. My experience and observation leads me to strongly agree.

Well for the reporting thing, I think many men and women don't report stuff. Its just that when men do report it then they are taken less seriously and get comments like "We are dying of thirst and bro is drowning" especially in case of minor boys being stalked by adult women.

I was stalked by my tax man for 8 months until one day he came to my house and told me that he had been driving by my house for 8 months and never had the courage until that day to ask me out on a date.
The tax man had all of my personal information and he used it - which I am sure he could have been fired for doing that in the first place.

The next time that I went to get my taxes done, I asked his coworker where he was. She told me that he committed suicide.
