Should we have National Beer Week?

Question

To quote FDR, "What America needs now is a drink."

And so since, FDR helped heal the nation once with National Beer Day , I was thinking , with everything going on in the world these days, that a lot more beer might help even more. And so I ask, Should we have National Beer Week?

no, last thing I need is more drunk drivers. my area is dangerous and probability is good to be in a car accident and possible life altering one. thus, I'm a cautious driver.

Drink beer at home week is fine.

I could care less what people do at home as long as they are responsible.

I'd rather have national..."intermittent fast" week followed by national, get to the gym week, or national... grow a garden and some fruit trees week.

Americans are some of the laziest drugged up overweight sick people on the planet.

Lastly, national... train for the military draft week. Thats right, you have to yearly pass a physical test to enter the military. cannot pass, is illegal to buy junk or fast food for 6 months.

Nah. I've just done a google search if we have a beer week and we don't, but there's beer festivals throughout the year so if you travel around a bit you can enjoy beer week every week.

I quite like this one, it combines a 20 mile walk through the middle of nowhere in November. But there's stalls with free beer on the way.

Yes, we need definitely more alcohol days/weeks/months. Some history week and month about some people I don't care is boring. Beer, wine, vodka is something I have a relation with.

We certainly did at my house!!
Once dad bought the beer tap, every day was beer week!!! If it was just he and my brother, the two of them could suck a quarter barrel dry within 6 or 7 days!! Once my brother started having his friends over nearly every day, they had to switch to half barrels and we'd have to get a fresh one at least once a week!! And, because neither of them was strong enough to lift the damn things, I'M the one that had to deal with that!! AND I DON'T EVEN DRINK!!!

Absolutely - an entire week where everyone is jolly. Fantastic idea. There are October fests but I think that puts too much emphasis on dressing up instead of drinking. Keep it simple.

There already is a National Beer Week, but it's more well-known as American Craft Beer Week. This year, it is celebrated from May 11 to May 17, and its' goal is to support small and independent U. S. "craft" breweries.
