Iran is reportedly seeking a ceasefire. Is this a ploy by Iran? Or have they run out of Ayatollah succesors?

why would they be out of successors to the regime?

it's strategic.

1. they can claim to be pro-peace

2. a ceasefire is beneficial to them

i can GUARANTEE they will not negotiate a ceasefire that cedes power of any part of their government to a foreign entity... that is to say they are not going to let the US dictate how their country be run
