Honestly? Not every day feels “great,” but yeah—I can say I’m living a pretty good life overall. Some days are tough, boring, or stressful, but I’ve got people I care about, work that matters to me (even if it’s not perfect), and I’m still learning and growing.
To me, a great life isn’t about being rich, famous, or happy 24/7. It’s simpler: having real connections, doing something useful, feeling like I’m not just wasting time, and being able to laugh or enjoy small things even when life sucks a bit.

I don't know. There's a lot of reasons I am, there's a lot of reasons I'm not. I was kinda hoping I'd have a lot of stuff set up right now that are in shambles. But I still have things fixed that I thought I lost forever.

I got people who love me and a sense of responsibility towards them. Maybe that's all I ever really wanted anyway.

I just want my life to have a lot of crazy moments, family and find out what I'm made of. So I think I'm headed in mostly the right direction.

Yes. I am living a great life since the day I was born.
My idea. Have the mental, physical, etc ability to make my life great! And that is how it is till now and more to come.
I was born into a peasant family. We had the basic shelter with an out house. We had the basic foods and no shoes. that was a very simple, good life to me.

now we have all that and enough for the next two generations … stil it’s a great life because I am still here and doing great things for others.
my goal is to continue to bring joy and hope to others who may think otherwise.
it’s the mind set… when we are content within… having nothing can be good. Having something is still good.

those who may have a lot… may still be not happy.

For me I have a very loving husband and four great children which makes me so happy. My husband has a tremendous job in international banking and I own a bar/restaurant that I began working at since I was 15 as a busgirl (cleaning tables & resetting up) some twenty-seven years ago to today where my family now totally owns it.

My oldest a daughter is now 20 years old a junior at Florida State University working on a medical biology major and a minor in chemistry marking the first step towards med school. So so proud of her.

The leisure time our family spends together is so relaxing and by chance my husband is as much of a fan of golf as I am which gives us hours of fun together putting that little ball into a hole in the ground.

Almost for we have a beautiful and comfortable home which we totally enjoy.

I really don't know what more we could ask for.

Yes. I vacated the USA after the last election. Saw what was coming.
I now live in a place where the food isn't grown on poisoned soil, the meat is raised locally without hormones (it's illegal), bread is fresh every day and doesn't last for a week (because it shouldn't), the people are friendly, the cost of living is low, the cost of travel is low, and my wife can safely walk at night by herself IF she chose to (she doesn't, but she could).

Did I mention that after a 6 month waiting period we qualify for health care benefits for about $1,000 a year? That covers pretty much everything, including drugs, and there's no such thing as a deductible. The relief from stress alone is worth moving to a new culture, despite any re-adjustments we've had to make.

So yes, we're living a great life now. Had no idea what we were missing.

I would say so. The Oxford dictionary definition of great says it means of an extent, amount, or intensity considerably above the normal or average. I have an incredible husband who I love very much and who completes me. I have two sets of wonderful parents, one set biological and one set that adopted me when I married, who love me and that I know I can always count on. I think those two things alone are more than most people can say they have, which is unfortunate. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone had a family like mine.

I wouldn't say not great, but under control and peaceful.
I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food in my tummy.
I have God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and my Guardian Angels beside me, and all of them are taking care of me
I may live alone, but I am never alone with all of them in my life.
I have a very good friend that lives just down the hall from me and he also takes care of me each day.
A lot of people don't have any of these things 😞 and for them, I feel very sad.

@thegreenyogi Well to begin with I have great health, with exception of sciatica, and hoping that gets better. I have an active life, make good money, and have paid off my home and having it remodeled as I type this. Have a nice car (Tesla) and buying a new one. I take Yoga, ballroom dance, learning piano, (need to practice today) and started violin, but stopped it because of shoulder problems caused by playing the instrument. Going to Greece and Turkey (Istanbul) this September.

I guess, in a nutshell, describes a really nice life, and I am forever grateful to be living this way.

I think I'm lucky compared to many people around the world. It's a great question, no pun intended. Great life would be for me

    Happiness

    Health

A Job that pays well enough to help others and don't have to worry about surviving at least a middle class life

Genuinely bringing joy to others when you're around them

No fear of wars or violence

And of course the same for everyone including my friends and family. I wouldn't want to be having a great life at the expense of others. For me to consider having a great life I would want everyone having one with me. Otherwise I can probably have at most a lucky life.

I am sure I could think this through better and would be open to redefining some of this. This was off the cuff not thinking deeply about it.

I’d say life is great when there’s balance: meaningful connections, personal growth, and enough freedom to explore interests and passions.

A “great life” isn’t about perfection or constant happiness, but about feeling aligned with your values, having people who support and challenge you, and being able to pursue what gives your life purpose and joy.

Hey, I've seen the world and had some great adventures. Both my kids are healthy, well educated, and doing OK in life. I've had plenty of opportunities come my way and I haven't screwed up most of them. I'm healthy and have the freedom to do what I want in life. I have no complaints. Some people have none of what I have.

A good life... certainly. A great life... not yet. I haven't reached a point in my life where I can say my life is great. I still have so many things to accomplish. Although I have accomplished a few things like getting my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree, there are things I want to get done before I can say I've reached greatness like finishing and publishing my book, getting married, having kids, and buying a house.

It is pretty great, I am married to somebody who is really terrific and I have a great family, I have a few close friends and live in a nice house in a nice town. I get to drive an awesome pickup truck and live in the best nation on Earth. my health is generally good and I like my job. Things can always be better but they are pretty sweet.

If I put in perspective how many people in the world are living in poverty, war, disease? There are billions of people. So yes, given that perspective, I have an awesome life. Compared to my peers, no, I need to do better.

No. If anything quite the opposite. I've lost my purpose for living. And I've been praying as of later for God to show me the way. I'm asking, lately I've felt as I've been getting God's voicemail.

A great life would mean having a job that I am passionate about and is aligned with my values since we spend a lot of our time working... I have't found that type of job yet, and I am still trying to figure out my values
