Everything in america is centered around private vs public. The main difference between the two parties and their policies is who wants to invest in what. The democrats like public resources, the republicans prefer private resources. But the problem is everything is pushing for privatization because of republican policies because it makes more money and, for some reason, they want more. Even the USPS is privatized and for-profit now. It’s insane and anything for public use at no cost, like libraries, now rely heavily on private donations because of how much that focus is shifting.

Germans don't understand basics like the "President doesn't create jobs", not even government jobs. If you listened to them, you'd think there was no US Congress where spending and tax bills originate. Then again, theirs is a country where debate on domestic matters is sharply restricted and sometimes even criminalized and a political party at or near the top of the polls can be spied on and perhaps even banned, so they know to stick to the approved script. Actually interpreting economic statistics also is too difficult for most of them, as we regularly see.

The borders have never been "open" for 50 years or more, US taxes aren't "high", and universal health care would save a huge amount of money and keep people healthy, which would be a good example of a good economic policy (that Trump claimed he would implement, remember?).
