Have you ever been bullied at work and how did you handle it?

Well, first I roasted all of them. But that kinda backfired because they all started trying to find the tiniest errors to get me in trouble for. So then I just became friends with our boss and kept my head down as much as I could. But then they got jealous I was performing better than they were. And they got even more pissed as some of the workers realised I was actually a pretty great guy and became friends.

But then they got targets on their backs. So I went back to being an asshole.

Eventually it got ugly enough that everyone was kinda too proud to let go but the guy who kept reignighting the problems the most got fired.

So then I made friends with the district manager for Yankee candle who gave me 50% off on the whole store 😂

So when people acted nasty I'd go "that's not the kind of attitude that gets you on the Yankee candle list" and they'd go 🫤 and act like they didn't care but let's just say by the time Christmas rolled around I ended up buying like $200 of candles 😂

This one girl Dana held out till the bitter end she was like "I know you're lying about the candles, I don't care either way" I was like "Dana, I'm gonna get you a lump of coal"

But then her friend basically told me to have mercy because almost everyone I worked with made it on the list. So I'm like alright if she can just not be an ass for a week then fine. And then on the last day I could see that being nice was literally killing her 😂 I was like alright I might have taken it too far you can go back to being normal. And then she cursed me out for like a whole minute and I gave her the candle and you know what, I think Dana's heart grew three sizes that day.

Moral of the story is, sometimes before people can understand you, you gotta go through some mud first. Especially if you're not going to play by their rules.

Hi ok first of all you have every rught to be there as well as the other person. So first things first you can handle it your self stop the person look them in the eye and with a low whisper tell them you got hired to do a job and your trying to fuck it up for me lean forward and lower voice its not going to work and I'm only going to tell you this one time back the fuck off or you can go to your boss explain to them that you got hired to do a job but there's somebody that's distracting you making it very impossible to do your job the best way you can do it.

You can say I don't want this to go any further than it has but I'm not going to put up with it and I also want my job now I would like to know if you guys hired me so I could be bullied or did you hire me to do a job that you're paying me this amount of money for I don't know what this person's problem is you should bring them in the office let's talk about this let's get this thing straightened out because I don't need to put up with this and I'm not going to quit my job there's other ways to go about this

But never let anybody I don't care anybody ever believe once you allow it the first time they're going to keep doing it step into it look deep into their eyes and show them that you're not afraid of nothing and make that a point they will back off there's no reason why you have to put up with this at all but you need to deal with it right now today as a matter of fact do not allow this to happen one more second of one more minute of one more day I'm serious because they will think that they're getting away with something and it will just get worse you need to step into it

Well, in the summer I work for my parents and sometimes have to work with my evil, middle sister who bullies me and I handle it like I always have by running crying to mom.

About 20 years ago my old boss at Home Depot and the head of the doors and windows department tried to bully me, after the door guy unplugged the forklift battery and made me crash it. I got so pissed that they feared for their lives, and then I called human resources. They didn't bother me again.

Yeah there was this mean red haired chick we nicknamed "Red", then "Big Red", then eventually we started referring to her as, "The Big Red Machine".

We didn't work it out, but eventually she got transferred to a new location presumably for new souls to steal.

Work bullies pick on multiple people. Snoop around quietly and you might find some of them. Then push the bully into the spotlight and others may come forward so that together you can take them down.

Yes, and I am still there. But, I no longer get bullied... Here is some advice: Keep written/audio record of incidents if possible (e. g. condescending message they wrote), stay calm and manage your emotions (don't let them get a reaction out of you), read about narcissicism and how to deal with it, and show that you are not a passive weakling (address issue professionally/calmly with them 1-1), then if that doesn't work talk to your manager)...
