It’s the people, not the religion. There are plenty of peaceful Muslims. There are some pretty untenable principles condoned in the bible. We don’t ban Christianity or the bible because of it. We certainly do hold people accountable for antisocial and criminal behavior even when they use Christianity as an excuse though.
