Congratulations to most of you who got this correct. It's a list of the happiest countries.

For the 9th year in a row, Finland is the happiest, in the 2026 World Happiness Report. The report is released annually around the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness, and ranks more than 140 countries based on how people evaluate their own lives. Researchers also analyze factors like social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and perceptions of corruption.

Oh there's options, good. 'Cuz those 2 random non European countries are throwing me off.

It can't be illegal immigrants, 'cuz there's countries that have more. So that's out.

I've seen a lot of those on "happiest", but Israel and Switzerland happy? Especially Israel?

I know it's not life expectency, 'cuz Andorra and Monaco aren't on there. So that's two options out.

Lowest cost of living, definitely not! So that's 3 out.

So taxes, happiest or EV. But Costa Rica and Israel EVs? Especially Costa Rica?

The way they measure happiness, I can understand some of the picks, but still ISRAEL? I really don't think Costa Ricans could afford to pay high taxes. And I'm not sure Luxembourg even HAS taxes.

I'm gonna assume happy since I know Finland is number 1 in that, I am sure they're in other things too but yeah
Though Israel must be lying no way are they're that happy in pretty much a warzone, of course they're highly defended but still a major concern right being in the mist of all that.
And happiness is a really dumb thing to track because how do they even quantify that, is there a special poll sent to every citizen? I don't think so.
Simple logic people in Norway are way happier than other countries but pretense of a definite percentage is weird.

I'm going for happy. I'm pretty sure the Nordic countries always come out on top of these lists for happiness.

The fact the UK isn't on kinds proves my theory, I mean Israel is constantly at war but they're happier than the UK. Perhaps more taxes would cheer us up like it does the scandies and a few explosions in the distance.

I think happiest or life expectancy. The fins have always had a rep as happy healthy peopleand I think the next two on the list could have the same said about them. Costa Rica is the only odd man out for me making me think it could be something else.. I never attributed CR to being a healthy place certainly and wouldn't expect a place that is unhealthy to be very happy.. I don't know can't wait for the update.

as I've heard it from some natives... the "Nordic countries" tend to drink in order to socialize and feel happy... while other countries do drink, because they're already happy... lol

so, I guess it's more about what one would consider what "happiness" means, to them...
