Abortion is not loved. It's a difficult choice and process in which at times something is lost where there was a desire to have their child live (like in medical emergencies), a compassion when in dire straits (unable to care for or afford to support a child) or there is just abortion available as a medical choice for when women are not wanting a child for any other reason.

It is a necessary decision all women should have for themselves as we know what's best for our bodies and lives. Yes, I do realize that you believe that it's a child at the moment of conception (it's not) and no, there isn't a rush of late stage abortions just because they decided they no longer wanted a child.

Men should not be legislating what women can do with their own bodies and those who do decry abortions generally don't give a shit about those children once they are born into poverty, abuse, or worse. They aren't pro-life, they are pro pregnancy and control of women.

Fair enough. I understand not everyone is going to agree all the time. I am glad you still care for those children after they are born, but the fact of the matter is a lot don't. They turn their backs on these kids like taking away free lunches for kids at school, take away from the education budget, and limit harshly what these parents can do to support their children for things like SNAP.

I also disagree that all pregnancies are happy events especially in the cases of rape. It is a constant reminder of what happened to that woman and only celebrates the perpetrator by raising his child for him.

This goes double for young minors who are raped and forced to carry a child at like 10 years old that could end up killing them just to go through the birthing process.

So yeah, it may have been harsh, but it's an unfortunate fact that not everyone carries your morals on the subject of life after birth for these kids. Hopefully that changes one day.

Now that's an awesome reply miss bri, we are on the same page now, i appreciate what you have said up there but please don't call such people "humans" cause they are likely less than animals, even animals do care about their babies...

All i can say that i'm a single father, i raised my son since he was 7 all alone and now he is 19, when he was born till the age of 7, i took care of him as a father and provided everything for him but after that i raised him as a father, mother, brother and best friend till this day and until now i still help him in everything, be there for him and support his ambitions and dreams... etc

That's awesome of you to be such a great dad and brave too. Others have crumbled and desperately looked for a replacement parent and settled for worse, because they couldn't handle doing it alone.

Fortunately I didn't come from a single parent home per se, but my mom did most of the parenting for the most part which was hard on her because she was also the primary breadwinner.

I think the internet and the political landscapes tend to exaggerate things. I don't love abortion, I think it should be an option of last resort. The old safe, legal and rare shtick. but with the pro-life side being so avid on there side the pro choice people have to match it

Conceiving an unwanted foetus is, in general circumstances, immoral and irresponsible. I can say more on that if you wish, but I think most people can agree on that part.

Having conceived, you need to be practical about how you manage the situation. Legally requiring a woman to carry a foetus for 9 months only to give birth to a child that is more likely than average going to grow up resented, ill-resourced and turn to criminal and antisocial behaviour is not viable, or desirable, in my opinion.

I do not love abortion. I know someone who had premature twin boys. One had a heart defect. They were born 8 weeks premature. Years ago they would have been aborted. Today the technology exists to keep them alive until they were full term. Even being 8 weeks premature they could still wrap their tiny fingers around my finger and squeeze. Today thay are happy and healthy 3 year old boys

I don't think anyone loves abortion.
Abortion is a choice based on the situation a woman is in.
Sometimes they don't even have a say in abortion they are forced to make that choice either it be medical reasons or pressure from family.
Other times they are victims of sexual assault and are not ready to have kids or sometimes even simply they are not ready to take care of another human life and want to focus on themselves first.
