Mullin had enough leadership skills to get elected to the senate. I'm 100% fine with that. The people of Oklahoma chose him.

He does not have the skills to run any organization with 260000 employees. Nor does he have the technical knowhow to comprehend the needs and operation of a large, complex security organization like DHS. If we're lucky he'll succeed in keeping it running the way it currently is. No new initiatives. No meaningful policies. If he attempts to do more than stay the course, it will be pure luck if he succeeds. More likely he'll make a mess.

Not at all. He was a very successful businessman, which means he knows what he's doing and has a track record to prove it. He was a congressman for 10 years and then a senator. He's an overachiever who is good at everything he does.
