2 moI think we are all a filter through which the universe is becoming aware of itself. Your biggest dream might be to jump out of planes. if I were afraid of heights, I would think you are crazy.
The way we view the world is very different for everyone but we tell ourselves we are all the same. The paradox of life is fun! 🙂🙃😉11 Reply- 2 mo

2 moOf course. I can think I'm a moral person, and others could think I'm a scumbag. That's just the way the world is.

2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I find this to be very true. I'm not exactly sure why this happens other than from what I understand that we are like a mirror to other people.
They way that I live my life, and having morals, being kind and a very giving person, living a peaceful life as well as being a Christian woman somehow brings out the worst in some people because they feel inferior to me in some way.
I was always very good to my caregiver I had since COVID days. I always said please and thank you. I told her that I appreciate her.
Then one day she said to me "You're just nice to me because you want something from me." WHERE DID THAT COME FROM? I STILL DON'T KNOW!
But she ended up stealing almost everything I owned on moving day. I thought she was moving my stuff down the hall into my new apartment. But she ended up taking it down to her SUV and left me with almost nothing.
That's a classic example of how someone can misinterpret a person who is a good person and twist it around and become evil towards me.
My personality and living style was like a mirror 🪞 and apparently I made her feel bad about herself because she wasn't at all like me. She's an evil woman.
It reminds me of the young sister SELENA. She was so nice to the woman who took care of the financial part of Selena's fortune, was the president of her fan club and was stealing money from her and then shot and killed SELENA!
SELENA was a beautiful, very talented young lady who had become a famous singer. She sang Hispanic and English songs. She was killed for being a good person!😞10 Reply824 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think people tend to project their own beliefs and current state of mind onto their perception of someone else
That’s why it’s so easy to get blindsided and wake up to realize the person isn’t who we thought he/she was
Add that to the fact that everyone has a self image as well and you get a whole mess of perceptions vs reality20 ReplyIt's different. We all carry some bagage of things that passed in previous years, things we might not be very proud of and rather not tell. So their perception will be different, maybe somewhat idealized, i. e. represented as perfect or better than in reality.
There are only a few people we can really be ourselves with.
20 ReplyAgree.
How we see ourselves is shaped by our thoughts and experiences, while others see us through their own lens and limited moments of us.
Neither is fully ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ just different perspectives.
That’s why self awareness matters, but so does being open to how we’re experienced by others.10 ReplyI would have to agree with your statement, because I'm Mr. Wonderful, but amazingly I'm without a partner.
So I've come to the conclusion other people obviously don't appreciate my charisma 😄

Lol!! Agreed!!🤓
662 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I agree. The way you see yourself, may be different from how others perceive you. You may think you are not brave for doing something--and others might say you are. Naïveté is sometimes others see that you don't see in yourself. Even the way you look may be perceived differently.

2 moWell, it's especially easy to do on social media sites where we can project what we want to but yes, like often people will say I seem confident and sure in who I am which is funny 'cuz I m constantly struggling with self-esteem issues since I am not really "normal" . 🤣
10 Reply 2.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Arguably we all have a perception of ourselves and our major focus in life is making others agree with us.
It is a failed concept as if you want people to perceive you in a particular way, it guarantees they won't for the most part.
So I agree.

2 moAgree, we even look somewhat different, you've only ever seen your own reflection never how others see you, I think it's somewhat similar personality wise as well, a similar and familiar version of yourself but not the full picture for what you actually are, something deep to think about I suppose

Anonymous(45 Plus)2 moAgree. Most of the time we are our worst critic. We think most of the time people are judging us harshly. When in reality most aren't thinking about us at all. And if they are it's only for a second. To quote Dr. Phil, "You wouldn't worry about what people thought of you so much if you realized how seldom people think of you".

m 2 moright...
even the perception of yourselves can vary or change from time to time... and for a few different reasons
perspective is both funny, and interesting like that...10 Reply 577 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. And the proverbial can of worms has been opened!!!
Yep, we certainly do not see ourselves as others may see us.
Oh, boy, do we not!
Cheers! 😊10 ReplyI think it is not hard to guess that. It completely depends on the others who have perception about you and how realistic you are are about yourself.
20 Reply658 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Probably correct... you can try to act a certain way but there is no guarantee people will see you that way.
10 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Every human sees the world differently. Everyone has a different perception because everyone lives a different live. That isn't hard to think about for two seconds to figure out.

2 moi would say that statement is universally true. cause our self perception and our perception of others is never gonna be 100% the same.
10 Reply 1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Very true. I think I'm an imposter but others think I know wtf is going on

Anonymous(36-45)2 moMy perception of myself is not so good, and I presume the others don't view me the same way like I do... but most people don't know much about me... not the real me.
