Do we control how others see us?

Like when a stranger take a dislike toward you or judges you upon their first glimpse at you. Whether it's a gut instinct or a habitual tendency of judging others.

I am a great believer that good looking people have looks advantage and are more approachable by others due to attractiveness.

Though, Sometimes people have discomfort within themselves, even the first instant when they capture a good or bad looking person. The reaction is still judgmental and negative.

One side of the argument is that we are who we are and how we look is out of our control. The other side is that we contribute to that without realising. Which would you agree with?
