I know there are laws that make it illegal to hire an undocumented worker
But most of these laws involve a fine and maybe 6 months in jail after many offenses
Not to mention employers can claim ignorance and easily get leniency.

Instead of dumping all the budget on playing cowboys and Indians, it would be better served doing some mass audits on business, tightening the bolt on the law and punishment, and making a new and much stricter process for hiring a foreign worker

Once the jobs dry up most non-criminal illegals will be forced to move on as they can’t sustain themselves
And the criminals will be rounded up much more easily

Within a short to medium period the while problem would be purged

So why not do that instead of offering them work and then chasing them down the streets for actually taking the work being offered?

I talked to a guy in America who is Mexican, and every fishing season he comes and works on a migrant work visa. At the end of the fishing season, he goes home and lives like a king.

In order to legally get a migrant work visa, you have to prove to the government that you're not displacing an American worker. He wasn't. He worked on a fish processing ship. His job was to stack 100 pound sacks of bone meal on pallets. I couldn't even lift a 100 pound sack of bow meal, but he did it 16 hours a day, seven days a week. I can't think of many Americans that could or would work like that.

The job didn't pay much more than minimum wage, but the overtime really racked up. At the end of the season he went back to his wife and 10 kids and lived on a ranch. He was the proudest man you ever saw.

Those days are over. The Democrats are so pathetically desperate that they will just put up illegals in hotels or whatever it takes to get that illegal vote. But the Democrats will have you believe that can only be done if the person is in the country illegally. Bullshit! Democrats will also have you believe that all of these illegals are just here to clean your toilet and mow your grass. Bullshit. And saying that that's all they're good for, is really racist. And the way the Democrats have it set up, they are driving down wages and displacing American workers.

Trump is kind of screwed and he knows it. This has been going on so long that he can't just deport the farmworkers. It will take a long time to get back to normal, where Americans will do that work. I doubt we will ever get back to normal, but if we do, Machines using AI will be doing all of that unsavory work.

There should be severe penalties for hiring illegal aliens not just a little fine. Illegal often work for cash and collect welfare benefits at the same time. Even if they work a legitimate job they are still paid less than an America would get. This depresses wages especially got the low wage earners.

Of course, if the growers have to pay you too much in bribes to get you to stop harassing their workers, the whole thing will revert to higher costs at the market for their produce which will in turn reduce their profits to the point where they will stop growing their produce and find something else to do with the land. People will have to do without it or grow their own. So you have to be careful at how much you demand.

It just involves penalizing growers with financial penalties for hiring illegal workers and penalizing illegal workers for being illegal by chasing them through the streets with your thugs. People don't sign up to be slave laborers.
