Yesterday, Donald Trump threatened to wipe out a civilization. If you had any doubt remaining about how unhinged and unchecked he is, yesterday should have cleared that doubt away. He issued a threat of annihilation like a tinpot dictator with a grudge and a nuclear arsenal. Anyone ignoring it deserves the consequences of complicity.

For some reason... him saying it, is different. We know he is full of "Cr! p" until he isn't. he's always negotiating to make a deal?

I can only imagine when he gets to the pearly gates what kind of deal he will make.

In case you don't understand him lets be clear... noone understands him. But in general, he wants people to behave, be under control and doesn't want people killed/hurt. But he's willing to use a lot of force, manipulation and such to achieve that. This includes lying, cheating, stealing, military, bribes... endless posturing. He will do it all in public.

Historically, all this has occurred in back rooms.

Oh hell no, it's not the worst this world has seen by a long shot. You're correct about that. It's just that living in a country like the United States generates certain expectations of people. I actually grew up here, and I learned all about a revolution, a Bill of Rights, and all that stuff. I started paying attention to what was happening around me. Things didn't look the same as I thought that they would or should, and as time has gone by, it's a little worse.

Now I think about the fact that I'm supposed to have a free press and free speech, and I realize I don't have any of those things anymore, thanks to Trump. They're all gone, and that's pretty fucking bad, actually. But certainly not as bad as it could be, based on the examples of other countries and based on the examples of our own history. So no, you're not wrong. I just don't like having even a few things I depended on taken away. I mean, if I have to live in a dictatorship, then I suppose I'm going to go live in one elsewhere, where things are maybe a little bit more physically attractive.
