Just like trump dealt with the ukraine war , by offering compromise and then dealing with it by financial pressure on both sides , trump won iran brilliantly!

Even now, people don't see the brilliant chess game, that trump won as they ask "what just happened" as in picture

CBS is baffled huh? what just happened and what is next. Nothing! Surprise! Iran closed the strait so we responded with a blockade. .. that IS the END. long term cease fire and blockade.

Nobody saw it coming! But trump planned perfect. Hit iran hard , hope they compromise. If not, then blockade iran , in response to iran blockade. Tadda! as trump repeatedly said "the war will end soon" now it is OVER with a blockade. No more need to bomb. The blockade is until iran is reasonable. Genius move!

Non American to be clear. But going back a while China was threatening war and cultivating wolf warrior diplomacy. Russia had a friendship without limits with China. Iran was a clear threat. Basically the US was in a position where it could be in conflict with China, Russia and Iran plus some others as allies.

Now Russia decided to send it's army charging into machine guns and nobody but Putin can claim credit for that. However Elon Musk turning off Star Link for the Russians has had big impact. Quite possibly there was Trump influence through DOD contracts. Dunno.

If we look at what Trump has done in respect to avoiding conflict with China i have to say he has played a canny hand. He said in a round about way that is what he was seeking to do.

First the trade war with China gave the a taste of what removing the US market from them would feel like.

Kicking China out from Panama was drawing a line to Beijing's expansion. Taking Maduro out, converted Venezuela from being a friend of China into a US client. Granted Cuba is not much good for anyone but geographically it is a dagger pointed at the US and China had an opening there.

Directly attacking Iran's nuclear ambitions has significantly reduced China's capability of inducing conflict when they decide to invade Taiwan. China runs out of oil reserves on June 8 (OK of course they would ration before then) and isn't getting any illegal sanctioned Iran oil which was 15% of their imports.
Russia was another 20% and the US benefits from Ukraine activities.

China is now demanding Hormuz be opened and to hell with the IRGC. Happy to sell them out for oil.

So China is getting a fore taste of what a blockade of Malacca might feel like.

I think Trump has played a canny hand, as I have said with his muscular diplomacy, to dissuade China and should get a Nobel Peace Prize for knocking off Iran. :)

Being within China's sphere of influence I am considerably happier he is in charge and there isn't a soy girl president.

A stalemate is not a victory.


Now it’s a battle of wills to see which people will resist inflation the longest


And let’s be real, the IRGC leadership will sooner let their people starve to death before kneeling to the US


That’s the problem when you’re facing a barbaric dictatorship. You can’t expect them to be reasonable and chose life over death


That’s why wiping them off the map is still the only viable option for a permanent end to the conflict with Iran


All we are doing is taking this war for another spin once both sides recover

I am skeptical. The Iranians are not rational people and the leaders have e no problem if thousands of citizens are killed ot have to live in the stone age as long as they stay in power..
