Does anyone else find our brief existence in the universe depressing?

70 years feels LONG not brief existence. The muon has a lifetime of only 2.2 microseconds. THAT IS SHORT. Yet, It is enough time to travel through atmosphere! muons formed in the upper atmosphere move towards the Earth with a speed close to light speed and reach it' in what we see as longer than 2.2 microseconds.
