It would cause Romania to become the next Ukraine, aka US/NATO coup to install a pro NATO/Western government resulting in another/expanded proxy war with Russia.

I have noticed that any party in Europe that deviates from socialism is termed as Far Right. So I don't think it is quite as you say.

Thats true. The Australian Communist Party just shifted camp to the Socialist Party. Had forgotten that.
In Austrialia, the comunist move to an already existing social party.
But in Romania the communists created the post-communist era party PSD (Party of Social Democrats).
In Romania is not like some of them had been selected, they rebrand themselves, but thei are the same loyal people of the dictator Ceausescu.
