Take a common human illness with a few visible symptoms and a mortality rate (usually biased by the fact that most deaths are people with compromised immune systems)


Begin to build it up in the media as an extinction event.
Say: if we don’t take immediate action every will (supposedly) die.
But omit the word “supposedly”


A lot of people will be so scared that they will do whatever you tell them.


A few will use their brains and tell you that you’re “full of shit”.
You then proceed to point fingers and scream at them saying they’re the problem, the root of all evil, the cause of all this pain.
And have them ostracized from society


Now you have near perfect compliance with whatever you want to achieve as you control the world economy as you see fit.
Close down one sector and open up another simply by making one inaccessible due to restrictions.

I think this is less of a conspiracy and more a case of financial interests, incompetence, ego, and religious dogma; and people wanting to cover their own asses when those things encounter reality.

Vaccinologists are really hardcore sold on the idea that they need to do gain of function research to protect people from viruses. And, they profit from thinking that because it's how they get more grant money. Of course, the major holes in that thinking are that the viruses aren't naturally evolving (so we don't actually know the form a new threat would take) and the viruses can easily escape the labs.

So, you get some well-intentioned brainiac thinking that they're saving humanity from viral threats by conducting this research. Then, when something fucks up (as it always does, because these people are incapable of two step thinking) they scramble to push the responsibility onto someone else.

I just found out the black death started in China. Mao said that it didn't matter if there was a nuclear war cause a few 100 millions of deaths would still leave plenty of Chinese. So I guess they had the same idea wrt to plagues.

In theory, they're trying to protect us by anticipating the possible evolutionary paths of deadly pathogens.

I'm not sure why they have to do this in labs near major population centers, but they've certainly convinced a number of people that this is a good idea.
