LOL, I think the statistic is like 2% of men and 1.4% of women in the US are gay or lesbian. So about 3.4% are not straight. That's about 1 in every 30 people. That sort of minority does not seem to indicate a "gay nation" to me. It indicates a handful of people are living a different lifestyle. And roughly 33% of the population are losing their minds over it. Seriously, don't you have anything better to do?

Um, 2% of 50.3% of the population plus 1.4% of 49.7% of the population is ~1.7% of the total population. Actually, 9% of the population identify as LGBTQ+, which I expect is lower than actual given reluctance to self-identify, depending on where they live. And, by the way, I’m okay with that.
