Do I believe? I know they do. Just look at Lindsey Graham or the speaker, Mike Johnson. A priest that refused to give Biden communion (for whatever reasons) was last week outed on gay dating apps, shown to be (yet another) closeted self-hating man. Plus! If you read the news about the explosion of men who identify as MSM (men who sleep with men) or are ‘on the D. L.’ (gay on the down low) which abound on any gay hook up app, just shows the lasting effects of homophobia, the ill effects of American religiosity, and other stigmas. It’s much less, and moving in the right direction, but still presents us with many men still in the closet.

Of course. But engaging in a gay encounter doesn't necessarily make someone gay. While gay encounters are widespread, most people keep them a secret because there is still a stigma associated with "gayness."
