no. gay sex in prison is more an 'assisted masturbation' technique. Those who participate generally don't like it, but at least it's more interactive than jerking off.

Whatever else masturbation is, above all it is efficient. For guys sex is a way to spend some energy, and masturbation doesn't accomplish that. Guys could just have sex with a couch cushion, but of course they don't put those in a jail cell. So, they have it with each other for exactly the same reason. They aren't attracted to each other any more than they are attracted to couches - and it's the attraction that makes a person gay, as far as I know.

in prison rape doesn't happen as much as tv makes it seem, it happens more in other countries, there's more violence than anything else, and some men do turn gay, or who knows, maybe they were always in the closet 🤷‍♂️

Only those facing long term or life sentences. And it’s not because they “become gay” it’s because they accept that the amount of their needs which are now going to be met have been stripped back to the bare minimum. They come to accept that they will never come into contact with a woman again, so they make do with the options that are available to them in order to meet their needs and that is other men.

They may convince themselves they are gay to make the shame easier but most of them are not. They may also come to enjoy it - our G spot is located up our back passage after all, but again, doesn’t mean they are gay.

Being gay is something you are born as, not something you become :)

I’ve been pen pals and have even visited females in prison and they have a saying. You’re only gay during your stay. They get into relationships to get things like stamps or stationary to write letters or other items from the commissary. Some do it also in exchange for legal help. Most of the fights among the women is relationship based. They’re extremely paranoid and jealous. The most common way to harm an ex lover is a blade to the face so every time the victim looks in the mirror they remember who gave them the scar. Yes some I’ve visited had scars

I heard it's not really an acceptable thing in jail, like some dudes get their cheeks busted but I think people tend to not associate with them.
