Western Culture stands on three pillars:
*The belief that there exists a single truth accessible to reason.
*The belief that there exists a good distinct from evil.
*The belief that there exists a Western heritage to be transmitted.

There is no such thing as "Western culture" - it's a right wing myth.

Each country in the so called "west" has it's own culture, laws and civic society. But none are based on any "truth" only myths and social contracts.

Most of these countries have only subjective ideals of good and evil - hence why they are so violent and sexualised.

The West has lied, killed, stolen and enslaved across most of it's history. There is very little "heritage" to pass on that wouldn't lead to more negative effects.

In fact it's one reason Russia and China are so denigrated in Western countries. Both have achieved more than the West - with half the death and exploitation to get there.

China alone produces more across all sectors in one day, than most Western countries do in a month. in fact most Western countries are reliant on China, for them to function.

Hence Western civilisation being largely a myth. It's largely a parasite.

No, I don't agree with that.

The first is a bit vague. But 'the West', if such a thing exists, is in a period of dissolution of what you might call 'yin'. It is falling apart. One of the associated corollaries is a multiplicity of ideas. We are also highly globalised and have issues of myriad cultures competing against each other and vying for power.

Second one, same principle. There is no unified confident West, there is no longer any meaningful religion. The prevailing paradigm is one of scientific materialism, which you might say, teaches there is no good and evil. Culture is fragmented and each person has their own perspective. Again, period of yin or dissolution. Highly cynical culture and there is no innate meaning in anything.

No, Westerners hate themselves and are riddled with guilt and shame. See @jshm2 below as the perfect illustration.

There is not one Western Culture, there are many. None is based on belief; the culture is based on values.

naw i think that's mostly inaccurate. the first one is plain out wrong cause it ignores subjectivity and the existence of different view points. "plurality of ideas and pursuit of truth through science" would be a more accurate "pillar".

the second one is merely a matter of definition not belief. if you call something bad, it's bad and if people agree, you got a socially accepted morality.

the third isn't a believe. it's a fact that there is a western heritage and procreation is the way it will continue to exist or the mechanism that eventually fails to keep it alive.

and i don't even agree that these would be "fundamental pillars" without the western culture wouldn't exist. other than the last one probably.
