Companies do market solutions and fake proposals to make it look like they care about the environment, political activism, and other things when it is convenient to do so and gets consumers interested in buying product.

All that vanished with Data Centers, why? Well it was convenient for them to do so.
Stocks have gone up, investor interest in companies with the hottest AI get priority in stock trades so, of course they need Data Centers to prop up that big flow of income.

Think about it, companies never cared about climate change, it was to make you think they did. Coca Cola, Apple, Microsoft, Google all told you that they cared and consumer base would buy without questioning whether or not it was true.
Now Data Centers are polluting our clean waterways, cutting off people’s utilities of housing in Lake Tahoe for example, and inflating prices of utilities like electricity and water if you live within a few miles from a plant, releases Methane and other greenhouse gases that ruin our precious planet.

It was never about the environment, it was to sell you their crap and now it’s convenient to prop up data centers since it makes them a sh-t ton of investor revenue in stocks.

It is happening, but not because of CO2 in the atmosphere. That is a money making scam.

yes that's absolutely true. but i think when people talk about "climate change", they don't mean the ever ongoing climate change. they mean the particular change in climate caused by the activities of humans vaguely since the age of industrialization in recent history.

yeah man i thought that way for some time before i really looked at the facts. like just look at how much of the planet was deforested just in the last 1000 years by humans and look at human population and pollution caused by humans increased in just the last 100-200. it's exponential. like the global population was increased by a factor 30 in the last 1000 years and by a factor of 4 in just 100 years. like there's no natural precedent for the ammount of pollution generated by humans in just that tiny ammount of time.

yes you're absolutly right that in the few places of industry, you could scrape the soot of the sides of buildings in the few industrial centers that did exist. people didn't care about human living conditions then and it were very few of such centers plus the population was low.

see i had the exact same thought process you have but then again i checked the numbers. let's say the age of industrialization was like 1800 right? 1800 the global population was 1 billion people. today we have 8.2 billion people. back in 1800. the co2 emissions per capita per year was around 0.04 tons per year. now it's 5 tons per year.

like please don't understand me as condescending here but can you even understand how extreme that is? like the total emissions of just co2 which is just one problem increased by litterally a factor of 1000 since the time where you said "people could scrape the soot of the sides of buildings". that's how bad it has become.
